I’m interested into getting into locksmithing and wondering how others have started their career. Did you take a class? Work at a local shop? As with any career change it’s a huge undertaking and I’m almost at a lost of where to start. I have basic rekeying and key cutting experience from my days at a hardware store. I saw that ashworth and pennfoster have a course but I’m always wary of online courses that say they are a catch all. I’m currently looking into state requirements but doesn’t help where to get the knowledge. I’m looking forward to what everyone has to say!
