The property management installed new thicker doors in the building a few months after I bought some new euro cylinders for the old thinner doors. They installed their own euro cylinders, with simple looking keys. I want to reinstall the cylinders that I previously bought but is it ok that they're about 10-12mm short of the exterior face plate?
I moved into a new house and decided to change the cylinders, I managed to lose this plate on one of the doors. The door still locks, but it’s a bit of a trick to it and I don’t think it’s as secure. I bought new handles thinking I might get a new plate with this, but no. It’s a uPVC door with euro cylinders in the UK if that makes any difference. Thanks!
Hello everyone.. a burglar forced in my home and stole my valuable items Worth of 30k.. I had a standard euro profile cylinder so the police department advised me to get a 3 star anti snapping cylinder.. the issue is there are over 20 manufacturer that offer these kind of cylinders that has different metal compositions and idk what.. what is the best of them that has the highest and maximum security over every aspect of the lock like anti picking and all.. any suggestions from you guys? Thank you!
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a 45/45 Euro cylinder with a Corbin L4 keyway.
We already have a few doors with Corbin L4 locks that are keyed alike, but one is another brand and keyway and I’d like to match it to the rest.
edit: Preferably I’d buy this in the Netherlands, or somewhere in Europe.
I’m at my wits end with my local locksmith. I have a very unique door and lock that are just not common in my area (Canada).
I have two doors that use euro profile cylinders, the doors are thick metal framed glass doors. One has the glass installed at the front of the frame and the other at the back.
The result is that I have two different thumb turn cylinders, a 30/53 and a 53/30. These are unusual sizes and to make it worse, they’re black in color.
The existing locks are not rekeyable and I need to rekey my house. My local locksmith is not able to source these.
I reached out to a usa based company that can custom make these using the Schlage C keyway for $500 usd each. This sounds outrageous. Pretty sure I could get some custom Mul-T-Locks for that money.
Does anyone know where I can get these made for a reasonable price? The size has to match within 1-2mm. I’m flexible on black or silver.
I’d be interested to know how much a modular Mul-T-Lock would go for but I’m pretty confident no locksmith in my area has ever built one.
Willing to purchase online from anyone (globally) who can get the job done competently.
My key snapped in my shed’s upvc door so I drilled & snapped the Eurolock and pushed the internal pin up which released the hooks and rollers however the deadbolt(?/ middle lock) is still engaged, what do I need to do to finish opening the door?
This is what the lock looks like now, it did havr a pin visible at the top, after pushing that to the left it released the aforementioned mechanisms.
